Company
What does Veil Systems do?
Veil Systems designs standard and custom drone netting for facilities, equipment, and roads. We coordinate fabrication and plan installation, alongside testing of our cope-cage prototype as an alternative to conventional vehicle cages.
What stage are Veil systems in?
Veil Systems are in the test phase, and we are currently testing out our systems. No validated protective performance is claimed. Images are concept renderings, not fielded Veil installations.
Can Veil fabricate or install a system today?
Yes. Tell us what you need to protect. We’ll work with you to define the system, coordinate fabrication, and plan installation around your project. Request a quote to start the conversation.
Who can contact Veil Systems?
Facility operators, utilities, government organizations, contractors, and vehicle operators can contact Veil about projects. We also welcome partners and investors.
Netting
What is anti-drone netting?
Anti-drone netting is a physical barrier above or around an area. The layout depends on coverage, access, site conditions, and the proposed system.
What is the difference between a canopy, an enclosure, and a corridor?
A canopy provides overhead coverage. An enclosure provides overhead and side coverage around an asset or area. A corridor follows a road or access lane. Layouts can be standard or custom.
Can netting cover a generator or transformer?
Yes. Generator, transformer, and switchgear projects need coverage, ventilation, equipment clearances, and access for inspection and replacement.
How do people access equipment inside a net enclosure?
We plan service entrances and closable openings around maintenance, cleaning, and equipment removal. The renderings do not specify closure hardware.
Does netting replace other security measures?
No. Netting can work alongside detection, operating procedures, and other protective measures. Its role and limits depend on the site and system.
Can you discuss radar, satellite, or rooftop equipment?
Yes. Custom projects can include radar, satellite, and rooftop equipment. Equipment operation, maintenance access, and site requirements guide the layout.
Vehicles
What is a cope cage?
“Cope cage” is an informal term for a protective framework or screen above or around a vehicle, associated with the war in Ukraine. Veil uses “vehicle protective cage.”
Does Veil Systems work on vehicle cages?
Yes. Veil is currently testing its cope-cage prototype, an alternative to conventional metal-lattice cages. Improved blast absorption and occupant protection are development objectives, not demonstrated outcomes.
Projects
What drives the cost of a project?
The asset, coverage area, site conditions, access requirements, fabrication, and installation determine the quote.
What should an initial inquiry include?
Include your name, email, and a general project summary. Organization type, asset category, and timeline are optional. Do not include classified, controlled, or sensitive information, security plans, or precise site details.
How long does a project take?
Project timing depends on the agreed scope and site requirements. Include your target timeline when requesting a quote.
How do I request a capability brief?
Select Request a capability brief on the contact page and include your organization and general application. A printable capability overview is also available on this website.
